The Bible is the best archive for this investigation about love. It contains several stories and parables relating to love and the way of life of a group of people with love as their core value. There are several novels that talk about love written by very famous writers currently and in the past, whose names would fill a book. However, none has captivated and affected millions of lives as the Bible has.
The Bible's definition of love:
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).
The Bible simply defines love as sacrifice. Love is sacrificing oneself for the sake of others for peace and harmony to prevail. Many are misguided about love; love never ceases—it keeps burning no matter what. They say love ends where misunderstanding begins, but I say it doesn't. This is seen most often in relationships.
What is a relationship?
A relationship is what happens when a bond is created between people. There are many forms of such bonds which lead to many forms of relationships. These bonds could be love, blood, cult, culture, etc., each of which creates a particular type of relationship. We'll talk about the relationship formed through the bond of love specifically between two people.
When two people fall in love, they both go through a constant feeling of guilt and vulnerability when their partners are present or not. This constant feeling drives people to do certain things which are uncalled for. Yes, many other reasons can lead to unnecessary behaviors of partners in a relationship. However, the feeling of guilt on the female side and vulnerability on the male side kills relationships faster than any other.
The purpose of love in a relationship isn't just for intercourse; it's also there to compensate and sacrifice for the feeling of guilt and vulnerability among the two.
The world is changing very fast these days; people don't cherish love anymore. Back in the days, people gave flowers, sang songs, shared music, wrote letters, took strolls, etc., for and with their loved ones, and looking back at that, it was so beautiful. Our system is taking so much away from us we don't even realize it.
We have broken men and women sharing their broken ideas with the populace on social media, and millions are hailing it. There are people who twisted the idea of masculinity and femininity to the world, and now there's this unspoken World War 3 going on in the minds of the youth.
We tend to forget that these people are saying what they say to gain publicity. About 80% don't really mean and practice what they say. These conversations are mostly about men not becoming vulnerable to women and women not feeling guilty for their actions.
My conversation with a friend:
Me: "Why do you love?"
Her: "It's in my nature."
Me: "What if you're heartbroken as a result?"
Her: "Then I'll start all over and love again."
My heart fell when she said that.
We need to retrace our steps back to the old ways of love. Let's love like its nobody's business and we fail lets start again..."
