Early Life
David Beckham was born on May 2, 1975, as the second child of Sandra Georgina and David Edward Alan Beckham. He spent his youth in the East London neighborhood of Leytonstone. He began playing football at a young age, and he dreamed of becoming a professional as an adult.
Beckham began his childhood career with the local Ridgeway Meanderers before moving on to Manchester and joining in 1991. He debuted with the senior group in 1992, around the same time as the rest of the popular "Fergie's Juveniles." Soon became a starter at the right midfield position, securing the No. 7 shirt from Imprint Hughes.
Beckham became a household name after scoring a hurl from the halfway line in the 1996 Head Association opener versus Wimbledon.
Career
Beckham remained at United until 2003, helping them win six Premier League titles and one European Cup. He played 386 matches more than any other club he was involved with, owing to his clearly amazing style of life and his relationship with his mentor.
Alex Ferguson eventually fell apart. When Ferguson kicked a boot that struck Beckham in the eye, causing a slice that should have been sewn, the situation became critical. United, unable to mend their relationship, offered Beckham to Genuine Real Madrid for €37 million.
Beckham has another set of issues to deal with on the international stage. He made his competitive debut in the 1998 World Cup, but director Glen Hoddle only used him as a substitute at first. Beckham was sent off in the round of 16 match against Argentina for kicking Diego Someone while lying on the pitch. Britain eventually lost the game on penalties, and Beckham became the primary target of abuse from both fans and the media.
